Lessons I Learnt Climbing Africa’s Highest Mountain

The landscape was monotonous: greyish-brown sand and rock, unresponsive and boring. Despite walking for ages, I seemed no closer to my destination. Exhausted and out of water, I struggled to keep moving, each step a Herculean effort. Desperation set in, but I reminded myself of the principle of "obliquity" — achieving complex goals indirectly. Finally, with immense pride and gratitude, I reached the Uhuru Peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, realizing that dreams are fulfilled through perseverance, slow progress, and the support of others.
